チェルフィッチュ チェルフィッチュ × 藤倉大 with クラングフォルム・ウィーン 『リビングルームのメタモルフォーシス』

演出家・作曲家としてそれぞれの分野で世界的に知られる岡田利規と藤倉大が、初めてコラボレート。本作では、演劇と音楽のパフォーマンスを舞台上に並置することにより、フィクショナルな空間を生み出することを目指す。
チェルフィッチュ作品出演俳優6名と、現代音楽アンサンブルのクラングフォルム・ウィーンの7名の演奏家が舞台を共有し、住む家をいきなり追い出されそうになる家族の物語から作品は始まる。しかしやがて、その家自体が人智の及ばない強大な力によって跡形もなくなることによって、その問題は解決される。そして、人間の世界の外側に広がる圧倒的な存在が上演を支配し、まったく新しい世界が舞台上に立ち現れる。
俳優たちは物語とは別のレイヤーで振付を遂行することで次第に変態し、同時に音楽家もさまざまな手段で音楽を変容させる。アンサンブルの演奏と俳優たちの発する言葉とが響き合い、物語が次第に音に溶け込んでいくとき、言葉と音はどう関係し、影響し合い、どのような変化を生むのか。

chelfitsch chelfitsch & Dai Fujikura with Klangforum Wien "Metamorphosis of a Living Room"

In Metamorphosis of a Living Room, Toshiki Okada and Dai Fujikura, world-renowned in their respective disciplines as director and composer, collaborate for the first time. In this work, they juxtapose theater and musical performance on the stage in an attempt to create a fictional space.
Six Japanese actors from chelfitsch and seven musicians from Klangforum Wien, a contemporary music ensemble, share the stage on which, initially, the story of a family facing eviction is told. But soon, a new catastrophe emerges that calls our anthropocentric view of the world into question. The music and the action on stage begin to merge as the narrative gradually dissolves into
sounds.

The actors gradually metamorphose by executing the choreography on a layer differing from that of the narrative. In the same way, the musicians use a variety of means to transform the music. In Metamorphosis of a Living Room, a fictional space simultaneously appears on the real stage.
