フィクショナルな劇空間に音の粒子が混ざり合う“音楽劇”
圧倒的なスケールの世界が観客の目前に現れる

ウィーン芸術週間（Wiener Festwochen）からの委嘱により昨年5月に世界初演を迎えた本作が、ついに日本初演！日本初演となる東京公演では、東京芸術劇場「ボンクリ・フェス」の常連で藤倉からの信頼も厚いアンサンブル・ノマドが出演する。
俳優と演奏家が舞台空間を共有し、演劇と音楽のパフォーマンスを舞台上に並置することにより、双方が溶け合った先にあるフィクショナルな空間を生み出すことを目指した作品。
賃貸契約の一方的な破棄により、住む家をいきなり追い出されそうになる家族の物語。しかし人智の及ばない強大な力が見え隠れし始め、その問題自体が舞台上から消え去り———人間の世界を圧倒する存在が上演を支配し、まったく新しい世界が舞台上に立ち現れる。
俳優たちはナラティブとは別の基準によって作られた振付を遂行し、次第に変態していく。音楽家もまた、楽譜に書き込まれた多彩な技法を用いて音楽を変容させる。６名の俳優の発する言葉と７名からなるアンサンブルの演奏とが響き合い、物語と音が溶け合っていくとき、計１３のサウンドが互いに影響し合いながら、どのような変化を生むのか。

『リビングルームのメタモルフォーシス』は、そういう題名の音楽劇というより、そういう名の冠された何か、音楽と演劇の拮抗からなる何か、なのです。ただ、そんなこと言っても通りが悪い。イメージしてもらえない。なので不承不承、音楽劇、と呼ばれることに甘んじている次第です。こういうのは、時間がかかるものです。何十年とかかるかもしれない。チェルフィッチュは（きっと、藤倉大さんも）待つつもりです。待つしかないので。こつこつとやるしかないので。東京公演もそのこつこつの一環です。お客さんに見てもらうことによって世界を変容させることによって。 

藤倉大

岡田利規さんとチェルフィッチュの役者さん達と2年掛けて、東京と僕の住むロンドンをネットで繋いで作り上げたこの音楽劇。最初から最後までお互い全く妥協することなく、その上今までにないものができたと思う。僕がアーティスティック・ディレクターで東京芸術劇場が主催する音楽祭、ボンクリ・フェスに、岡田さんが来てくださり、そこでの経験がこの音楽劇の最後の部分に反映されている、とおっしゃっていた。まさにその場所、東京芸術劇場で東京公演ができるのは運命なのだろう。より特別な舞台になると思う。

登壇者プロフィール
川内倫子（写真家）
1972年、滋賀県生まれ。2002年に『うたたね』『花火』で第27回木村伊兵衛写真賞受賞。2023年にソニーワールドフォトグラフィーアワードのOutstanding Contribution to Photography（特別功労賞）を受賞など。国内外で数多くの展覧会を行う。主な著作に『Illuminance』（2011年）、『あめつち』（2013年）、『Halo』（2017年）など。近刊に写真集『やまなみ』『いまここ』（谷川俊太郎との共著）がある。2022〜2023年に東京オペラシティ アートギャラリーでと滋賀県立美術館で個展「川内倫子：M/E　球体の上 無限の連なり」を開催した。

A music theater by Toshiki Okada and Dai Fujikura's first collaboration

This work, which was commissioned by the Wiener Festwochen and had its world premiere in May last year, will finally have its Japan premiere in Tokyo! The Japanese premiere in Tokyo will be performed by Ensemble Nomad, a regular performer at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre's “Born Creative” Festival and highly trusted by Fujikura.
Actors and musicians share the stage space, and by juxtaposing theatrical and musical performances on stage, the work aims to create a fictional space where the two blend together.
The story is about a family who is suddenly about to be evicted from their home due to the unilateral termination of their rental contract. However, as a powerful force beyond human understanding begins to emerge, the problem itself disappears from the stage - an entity that overwhelms the human world takes over the performance, and a completely new world appears onstage.
The actors perform a choreography that is based on criteria separate from the narrative, and it gradually transforms. The musicians also transform the music using a variety of techniques written into the score. When the words of the six actors and the performance of the seven-person ensemble resonate with each other and the story and sound blend together, what kind of changes will occur as the 13 sounds interact with each other?
